Who we need
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services and Live-In Treatment; we are looking for a Senior Manager of Clinical Services to join us. You will provide clinical supervision and guide the work of a team of Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists. You will manage all clinical outpatient core services at YouthLink, including What’s Up Walk-In, Brief Therapy, Short Term Treatment for Families, Ongoing Therapy, Family Therapy and Group Therapy. You will work with the Director to implement new practice standards and decision-making on Measurement-Based Care. You will collaborate with the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations and the Data & Research Analyst to evolve and streamline all Core Services within the changing landscape of Children’s Mental Health Services.
Please note that this is a permanent non-bargaining unit position working full time, 35 hours/week, with the requirement to be in the office five days per week.

How you will make an impact:
- Lead programs and services. You will oversee the delivery of outpatient mental health services for children and youth (ages 0–24) and their families, including individual, family, and group therapy. You will shape and evolve the clinical team's vision, philosophy, and objectives while managing projects that align internal operations with the evolving landscape of Children’s Mental Health. Acting as the clinical lead for Accreditation, you will ensure the preparation and submission of required documents and processes.
- Provide team leadership. You will lead clinical team meetings, rounds, and group supervision, fostering a cohesive multidisciplinary team that delivers high-quality care. You will provide clinical and administrative supervision to direct reports, supporting best practices in psychotherapy and offering consultation across YouthLink programs. You will address client and staff concerns promptly and in alignment with agency policies.
- Manage documentation. You will create annual work plans for yourself and your team, assign programming duties, and manage the clinical team’s schedule. You will establish systems for case assignment, track program KPIs, and ensure robust data collection for research and evaluation, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of supervision notes and clinical activities.
- Evaluate performance. You will implement accountability measures, such as observing therapy sessions, reviewing reports, and conducting caseload reviews. You will manage bi-annual file audits, provide constructive feedback, and evaluate direct reports to identify growth opportunities. Collaborating with the Manager of Operations, you will strengthen program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
- Manage incidents. You will address disciplinary procedures and grievances in consultation with the Senior Director of HR. You will review and approve serious occurrences and critical incident reports, ensuring appropriate follow-up within the clinical team.
- Provide oversight. You will work with managers and external partners to develop and deliver evidence-based, collaborative programs. You will oversee the acquisition of clinical resources and equipment and ensure the delivery of critical incident stress debriefing within YouthLink and the community. Alongside the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations, you will streamline processes to optimize clinical services. You will maintain strict client confidentiality and participate in the agency's on-call rotation.
- Ensure risk and compliance management. You will assess and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and adherence to professional codes of ethics. You will develop and execute risk management strategies for clinical services.
- Drive strategic planning. You will integrate research, innovation, and best practices into program delivery while collaborating with leadership and front-line teams to implement effective strategies. Through regular environmental scans, you will evaluate community needs, service delivery outcomes, and partnership opportunities, recommending policy and system improvements.
- Foster Equity, Diversity, and Belonging. You will embed cultural humility and inclusivity in case consultations and program delivery. Staying updated on best practices in equity and diversity, you will work with leadership to infuse these principles into all operations. As a role model, you will cultivate an inclusive organizational culture and develop leaders, integrating equity and belonging into all interactions and practices.
What you bring:
- The education and certification. You have a Master’s degree in a psychotherapy-related field. You are licensed to practice and registered with a regulated health college which permits the delivery of the controlled Act of Psychotherapy. You are pursuing, or you have, the Clinical Supervisory Designation specific to providing the controlled act of psychotherapy for individual and family therapy supervision. Your participation in coursework demonstrates continual learning in Equity, Diversity and Belonging practices. In addition, you may have Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Certification, Level 1 & 2; Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Certification; Canadian Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (CAMFT) Clinical Supervisor Certification.
- The management experience. You have held a clinical supervisor and practice manager role for organizations providing youth services, mental health or a related field, ideally working directly with communities in the Scarborough area for at least four or more years. You have an advanced understanding of concepts related to power and privilege, social location, equity, and intersectionality. You have demonstrable experience in implementing equity strategies in programs and services. You have site and team management experience, including exposure to human resource management (union experience is a strong asset), financial management, program management, evaluation design, or systems design.
- The clinical knowledge. You have three or more years of experience providing individual psychotherapy and family therapy. You have an in-depth understanding of best practices and current literature in psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, trauma assessments, critical incident stress debriefing, and evidence-based treatment methods. Ideally, you have experience providing evidence-based dialectical behaviour therapy. You have a comprehensive knowledge of youth developmental stages, social ecology, and family systems. You are acutely aware of the impact of childhood, racial, and intergenerational trauma on youth development.
- The clinical leadership. You have a sound reputation and clearly articulate philosophy as a clinical leader with progressive, responsible clinical practice and three or more years of experience providing clinical supervision in Psychotherapy and Family Therapy. You leverage relevant information and critical analysis to make informed decisions, tackling problems with urgency and energy. You are passionate about mobilizing individuals and teams to drive change and collaborating with partners and stakeholders at all levels to build consensus.
- The ethical drive. You hold yourself to high moral standards, have a strong character and exercise sound judgment even in the most challenging situations. You are a champion of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, specifically focusing on Anti-Black Racism. You are thoughtful in your choices and reflective in your guidance and practice, fostering learning, promoting innovation and introducing change for the better.
